The menu is noted for its diverse American offerings, including standout items such as calzones, burgers, seafood, and unique dishes like poutine. Customers frequently mention generous portions and high-quality, flavorful food. While the location by the river provides pleasant outdoor seating, some feedback points to limited amenities such as the lack of umbrellas. Availability of menu items can vary seasonally, but overall the consistent food quality and friendly environment encourage repeat visits and strong local recommendations.
First timer! 2 out of 3 anyway. A mere suggestion about its location on the river with a water view was enough to go try them out. Menu was burgers, fish, fresh steamed clams, pizza, salad and appetizers. No alcohol. Outside seating was with sturdy expanded metal type tables and chairs, on a wood deck in good condition. No umbrellas. That was ok. Inside was warm, a little too much for us and it was a beautiful day with some rain in the forecast, which did arrive just as we were leaving Service was good, friendly server, knew the menu well based on a few questions we asked. Food arrived timely and hot. Check ups were timely and adequate. Food was very good. Burger was fresh beef. Pizza was a good crust, well cooked on top and copious amounts of toppings for what was ordered. Prices were fair and as expected. Fun place to go relax, get a good meal and watch cars and the rapids on the river.
It is an absolutely wonderful place to have some great food with family & friends. I've only been there once, but wow, did it leave an impression.
Come hungrey! The owners treated us like family!! The calzones are to die for!! Bring a friend to share it with! You will leave with leftovers it's so big! Leave a little space for desert! The peanut pie is mind blowing! Counting down the days we go back!!
We went in early July and they were out of lots of product but the service was good, good enough to go back. We went again August 22nd, they had everything in stock. The food was fantastic. My 14 year old son ordered the salad and he could not eat it all and I have seen him devour 2 Big Mac's and a large fry in one sitting!! Our server took great care of us and turned out to be the owner, hard at work making sure the customers were taken care of!
A friend and I were visiting friends in the area last night, and this spot came highly recommended! We got a friendly greeting when we arrived, and had great service from start to finish of our visit. Delicious poutine made with perfectly crispy fries and local (!) cheese curds, and an excellent and creatively topped burger cooked to a flawless medium rare. There was no way we had room for dessert, but we couldn't resist getting a couple of slices of homemade rhubarb pie to go. Can't wait for our next visit to the area so we can stop in here again. Life is good!
Has a great experience visiting the cafe on with a large group on the way home after a weekend in the adks. Service was spectacular and we loved meeting the big beautiful dog! Great food (including the home made baked goods) and really reasonably priced.
Lovely setting with a lot of seating overlooking the beautiful Oswegatchie river. Prices super affordable, service excellent, and muffins were memorable. Lovely place for a stop!
Wow! HUGE portions for breakfast at a great price! First time we ever needed a take home box for breakfast. Meat portions were gigantic and homemade toast too!
